As a student, St Thomas Aquinas was apparently of impressive stature, but rather circumspect in his words. This led his classmates to name him the ‘Dumb Ox’.

Their professor, Albertus Magnus (aka St Albert the Great), who had already recognised the great potential of his student, admonished them, saying, “I tell you, this Dumb Ox shall bellow so loud his bellowings will fill the world!”

He is the inspiration for this venture. We have borrowed his redundant nickname,so that the dumb ox in all of us might be led to greater knowledge of and love for Jesus Christ.
